It inspired me. From start to finish, it ebbed and flowed, Obama would rise up and get righteously angry and then shrink back down to earth, only to crescendo again.

And he attacked, and made a case for good government. Some folks are comparing Obama to Lincoln and to Kennedy. Those comparisons are apt, but I’m seeing a 21st-century FDR — a man uniquely suited to our times.

Andrew Sullivan:

Above all, he took on national security – face on, full-throttle, enraged, as we should all be, at how disastrously American power has been handled these past eight years. He owned this issue in a way that no Democrat has owned it since Kennedy. That’s a transformative event.

I’ve heard about change a lot this year, but this was the first time I truly saw what we are on the brink of — a true break from the past but a reclaiming of everything that could and should be good about this country.

I know what you’ve been thinking: can I get more link posts from Josh? No really, I’m sure you’ve been wondering where I’ve been. Or maybe you haven’t. It’s true that I’ve been neglecting this blog in favor of other, more profitable blogs, and because my extracurricular work has been my thesis project for the last six months.

Well, that work is finally coming to a close, and I’m happy to say that I have some videos for you to watch. Over at my alter-ego/thesis blog I’ve posted all five (5) chapters of my machinima documentary about social and political activism in Second Life, and built up a site around them to boot. A lot of labor and love when into this project, including fine musical composition from my buddy Darren Clarke. I do suggest you check them out, and drop me a line if you want.

I’ll be around sooner than later. Promise.
